in our case, Infosec is helping us with our internal culture about information security, we train our employees in the last threats and also we are able to run phishing simulations which help us to confirm the skills of our employees. we also get very usable reports for our managers and scores of the learners from their trainings.
  • Spanish content
  • phishing simulation
  • reporting
  • dynamic groups creation
  • more topic series
  • more phishing templates
  • more options for training campaings
for companies looking to meet international requirements regarding information security, like standards controls and things like that for example, ISO27001, NIST, PCI, and others. also for reducing the risk about bad employees behaviors, thanks to Infosec our employees keep reporting suspicious emails, and things they don't understand, so we are sure they always aware about security risk.

We use Infosec IQ phishing training every month. This is for enhancing awareness of IT risk. Our workers are able to judge if it is Spam mail or not. This phishing mail training is now required to join IT Insurance for the company. We use and recommend it to our clients, and they are all satisfied with the features.
  • Many types of Templates.
  • Easy to use.
  • Report feature is good for submitting to managers.
  • Complicated to choose right templates.
  • Not clear function's features sometime.
  • Bulk order of sheet is expensive.
1) If you want to enhance the security this is the best match.
2) If you are trying to contract IT insurance, this is one of the requirements.
3) If you want to train workers in IT risk awareness this is the right app and its features.
4) Need phishing mail? I recommend Infosec IQ.

We use Infosec to roll out quarterly security trainings and bi-weekly phishing tests
  • Easy to create security trainings
  • Easy to manage users
  • Simple integration with AD
  • Cleaner UI
  • More Canada Specific Phishing Templates
  • Phishing template selector is very clunky and overwhelming
Very easy to roll out security training for users.
Very cumbersome to make a phishing campaign

We use Infosec IQ to train and test our employees on security awareness. I deploy several courses relating to one topic bi-monthly, and I deploy phishing campaigns on a monthly basis to a random group of employees. We have also installed Infosec's suspicious email report button on everyone's Outlook toolbar.

Training is mandatory. I work with my manager to recognize those who reported the phishing and remediate those who were phished.
  • Produce courses that are short, efficient, and engaging
  • Provide a wide range of phishing templates with the ability to customize
  • Communicate new releases that are timely
  • Provide metrics that are easy to access and are meaningful
  • I have no areas for improvement to recommend.
Infosec IQ is perfect for companies at any stage of the security awareness journey.

I set up, assign and track completion of training modules to all employees bi-monthly. I also set up, assign and track results for phishing campaigns on a monthly basis to a random group of 9 - 12 employees. The goal is to keep cybersecurity top of mind on a regular basis, so that employees don't inadvertently fall victim to an attack, jeopardizing our business.
  • Training modules are short and impactful.
  • Some training modules are funny.
  • There's a wide variety of phishing templates to choose from and customize.
  • Accessing and reviewing training and phishing campaign data is easy.
  • New admin training could be better.
Infosec IQ focuses on the human firewall component of a company's cybersecurity strategy. The tools are there - training modules, phishing campaign templates, and an email reporting button.

It is up to the person administering to create a strategy - what training? how often? which phishing templates make sense? how to remediate?

InfoSec Use Case

We use InfoSec to educate and evaluate our employees when it comes to handling phishing. We run monthly phishing campaigns with different templates, aimed at different departments. We also do so to adhere to some of our different client's requirements. With the tool we can also have employee's complete follow-up testing in the event they are phished to further educate them on what to look for.
  • Educate employees
  • Teach them cyber security best practices
  • Make them weary of clicking suspicious links
  • Can be a bit confusing to navigate until you get used to it
A scenario where InfoSec is well-suited is when you notice more and more spam and/or phishing emails getting by spam filters. Aside from refining these filters to catch more, it is always a good idea to educate users on what to look for to determine what is potentially a phishing email.

We leverage InfosecIQ for our comprehensive onboarding and recurrent training programs, ensuring that our team members are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to combat cybersecurity threats effectively. Additionally, InfosecIQ serves as a valuable tool for conducting simulated phishing campaigns, allowing us to proactively identify vulnerabilities and reinforce our employees' awareness of phishing attempts. By integrating InfosecIQ into our training and assessment initiatives, we maintain a proactive and robust cybersecurity posture.
  • Plenty of detailed templates for simulated phishing
  • SSO
  • Plenty of amusing templates for creating trainings
  • Good support
  • Good value for money
  • The user interface can occasionally present challenges when it comes to orientation and ease of use
Infosec IQ stands out as an excellent solution for conducting recurrent trainings and running simulated phishing campaigns. The platform not only offers robust features but also provides prompt and reliable support to its users. This level of assistance ensures a smooth experience and helps address any questions or concerns that may arise during training or campaign execution. One notable advantage of Infosec IQ is its support for Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality. This feature enables users to access the platform seamlessly using their existing credentials, eliminating the need for separate login information. By integrating with an organization's existing authentication system, Infosec IQ simplifies user management and enhances security by leveraging established access controls. In summary, the strengths of Infosec IQ include its comprehensive training and simulated phishing capabilities, excellent support services, and the convenience of SSO integration. These features contribute to a more efficient and effective training experience, allowing organizations to strengthen their cybersecurity defenses while minimizing administrative burdens.

Our company had no cybersecurity awareness training program, and after investigating options and comparing other products, we decided to implement Infosec Institute IQ. We use it to prove brief monthly training for all employees on various cybersecurity topics. Additionally, we use it for a more thorough annual training that all employees must complete. The last thing that we use it for it so publish our company's mandatory security and acceptable use policy (which is tracked/accepted when employees log in to use the training).
  • The content for AwareEd training is robust and extensive. Many cybersecurity topics available for training material. As well as the ability to print promotional training sheets that can be displayed in break rooms, training rooms, hallways, etc.
  • The built-in phishing simulation templates are great! Recently, Infosec IQ added a new category called "Catch of the Week" that has very realistic phishing simulations that are much more effective and great examples of the types of phishing scams being used today.
  • Reporting works very well and provides information that can be shared with department managers so they can have visibility on how well their team members are meeting the cybersecurity training requirements.
  • When an employee leaves the company, I would like better visibility or a simpler process to remove that employee from the list of learners in Infosec IQ.
  • Some of the canned reports only apply to managers that have at least 10 team members. It would be nice if any size team would show up in the canned reporting.
  • I think it might be helpful to be able to create custom assessments for training sessions.
If the company is very small, the Infosec IQ solution might be a little overkill. However, for a medium to large company, I think Infosec IQ is a great tool for providing cybersecurity training, reporting, and assessment testing for all employees. Based on the information gathered during training, testing, etc., it allows the cybersecurity manager to focus on what employees need additional training or potential weak spots in the current training. This is important information to report to senior leadership. It also serves to meet cybersecurity awareness training that may be a compliance requirement for customer contracts, governmental standards, etc.

We use the product to test and educate users on cyber threats. This product helps us simulate phishing campaigns we use to help spread awareness throughout the agency without much hassle. With the simplicity of use, we were able to integrate InfoSec with AD, so adding and removing users is seamless.
  • I like the fact that InfoSec has great video options for educating users, whether you want to use a simple and quick refresher video or a deep detailed information video. The content library is great, also there are interactive videos.
  • The variety of information is great as well, you can create a variety of campaigns that are really easy to implement for users against multiple attacks.
  • Infosec has almost everything you need for new hires or even training for IT staff.
  • I am not the biggest fan of the way the emails are sent to users, like when they are enrolled into a training, when they click on the link it still doesn't seem legit. Maybe I haven't configured that part properly yet
  • Similar to the other point I made, the training interface for a non-technical user is lacking the usability feature that I think would make infosec more appealing
If your in an environment where there is no educational training for users regarding cyber threats, i think InfoSec is a great option to consider.

We use Infosec IQ for phishing and end user awareness training. It has lowered our overall phish rate by over 20% in the first 3 years alone. We also utilize it for new hire training.
  • Custom phishing templates
  • User friendly training
  • More filters in groups for reports. to include department and group comparison.
  • Easier list of sending Ips and addresses for whitelisting
  • Easier way to view assigned training to templates.
I have recommended this to small businesses and academics. This tool is perfect for new learners and easy to follow.
I have also utilized this tool during my graduate program at Penn State.

We have implemented Infosec IQ to train all our staff about staying safe while using a device at work. Management now feel safer in the knowledge that our staff have a better understanding of cybersecurity and the dangers in this online age. Having many businesses under our corporate umbrella, Infosec IQ is able to blend professionalism with fun to provide amazing informational videos.
  • The vast scale of training modules and information available is stagging
  • Well thought out user Interface
  • Simple to create templates and campaigns for training.
  • In depth dashboards and reporting
  • More localised content (this is getting better for our area. Australia)
  • Ability to upload our own video content
Feedback from staff has be positive, they get a quick break from their work and learn about something different. The vast scale of training modules and information available is stagging. This gives us the option to always change the training up between being professional and having a little more fun with the choose your own adventure interactive training. Upper management can use the dashboard to pull all kinds of statistics about the training and which staff aren't completing it. Groups can be configured so that if staff fail or don't complete a training course then are automatically enrolled in the next one. Lots of little features that make the whole software really easy to use. The Staff at Infosec are always following up and are super friendly. They help with any problems quickly and always get back to you no matter how small an issue it is.

We were looking for an online platform where users can be trained on IT security, in the prospect of safe browsing, safe use of social media, and identifying spam and phishing mail. We found this platform a great help and we adopted this.
  • Train users in play way manner.
  • Phish-sim is great tool to simulate phishing test.
  • Multilingual.
  • Latest topic and material to train users.
  • Pre defined and custom assessment.
  • Pre defined and custom Phishing mail template in multi-language.
  • Detailed reporting.
  • More training material for other department's users like HR admin, etc.
Best suited in IT security trainings and assessments, phishing simulation tests, less appropriate in detailed reporting and training of specific departments like HR and admin.

InfosecIQ provides our cyber security training platform and phishing email testing platform. The cyber security training is thorough and quite customizable. The reporting capabilities are quite good as well. The phishing email testing platform has great content however with used in conjunction with Google Gmail, the "report phishing" function of Gmail causes false positives. This is something we are currently working with through Infosec IQ.

  • Phishing reporting via Gmail causes false postives
  • Updating users is not intuitive

We use InfoSec IQ for many purposes: - Mandatory and Essential training such as AML, KYC - Security awareness such as work from home, work during traveling, OWASP top 10 vulns, etc - Phishing campaigns: we execute quarterly campaigns which we use to increase our employee's awareness and teach them how to guard against such attacks
  • Good training Materials
  • Good Phishing campaigns templates
  • Easy to use and track campaigns
  • Integrating fun and learning
  • Provide back button when reviewing campaigns
  • Can not add voice over the videos without paying extra
  • Improve the videos voice as it provides not good experience in some cases
  • Improve navigation and UX between contents
It is good when it comes to preprepared tutorials that integrate fun with learning and when executing phishing campaigns. For example, security awareness, AML, KYC, work during travel, etc. It is less appropriate when a team want to add personal content and integrate it with the current training and when the voice is a matter of fact in the training if it can not be changed

Infosec IQ training for Staff and Faculty achieved enhanced basic concepts needed for every user on the network with phishing and current threats. This was achieved with simple common sense Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for responding to threats on the network and mitigation techniques that could be used for all users connecting to the University's network.
  • integration with Azure Active Directory (AAD)
  • automate email campaigns
  • track campaigns
  • followup with training for users
  • Format of communications little bland incorporate better html templates
  • App for small devices phones tablets users can use
  • Integrate with M365 for phish reporting tool so can use both Infosec IQ tool while updating Microsoft Filter with user-submitted data.
Employee training well-suited suite. But again reporting tool falls short with its integration with the M365 reporting tools that need to integrate with each other.

We utilize the IT Security training videos, assessments, and posters provided by Infosec IQ. We run organization-wide security training sessions/campaigns, and New Hire IT Security training via Infosec IQ. We also use the Phishing templates Infosec IQ offers and deploy phishing simulations to employees to assess company preparedness and awareness.
  • IT Security Training Videos
  • Reports/Dashboard to review Training/Phishing Simulation status
  • Managing Training for New Hires
  • Phishing Simulation templates
  • UI for selecting materials for training could be improved.
  • Navigation around the site takes some time to get used to.
Infosec IQ worked really well for us when we wanted to deploy New Hire training automatically to all new employees. Infosec allowed us to push new users to the system and automatically assigned the new hire training to them without us having to manually do anything. While it's not something I've used, I saw the possibility of setting up different training for new hires based on group/category, it's something I might consider in the future based on department. Follow-up training for phishing simulations for anyone that got phished was very easy as well. Infosec has the option to add all users that were phished to a specific group, and then deploy a separate training course to those users only.

Infosec IQ ensures that our data devices like mobile/registered resources are secured from piracy, phishing, spoofing, etc. This ensures authenticated logins by alternate security set up /MFA either through push notification or security questions pre-registered by authenticated users while signing in for the first time. I recommend it to all organizations for safe and trusted data access.
  • Data safety
  • Trusted entry/logins
  • Registered resources
  • Accessibility
  • Time of inactivity
Well suited when a person joins my team that allows his or her registered access. Not recommended to have access when a person leaves the organization. His or her access has to be removed automatically based on the last login date.

I use Infosec IQ for Cybersecurity Awareness Training and for Phishing Simulation Campaigns. We are currently using the Infosec IQ platform to train around 4000 Metrolinx staff on various Cybersecurity Awareness related topics, such as social engineering, ransomware, business email compromise, etc. The Infosec IQ platform has provided exactly the type of education we were looking for since the content fits our business needs. The content is relevant and modern.
  • Overall training content
  • New just the facts series
  • Customer service
  • Development
  • The user experience could be simplified.
  • I feel like there are some complicated reporting functionalities.
  • I would really like ADA compliance for all content.
  • I wish the training content was more customizable.
  • The user experience of deploying phish campaigns could be a little less complicated.
It provides a great content library, good customer service, and management is keeping up with the current trends. We, as an organization, were able to leverage many training modules and we felt like the majority of our business needs were addressed by management. Also, all our issues were resolved in a timely manner.

We use InfoSec IQ internally as security awareness training and phishing simulations for our company staff. This provides education to all users to form a baseline of security knowledge, identify common threats, and help reduce our organization's cyber-security risk. Security awareness training has been added to our internet and acceptable use policy as a requirement and is also a requirement of our cyber-security insurance policy.
  • Phishing simulation configurations are extremely robust and customizable.
  • AwareEd content library contains a vast amount of training modules and materials.
  • Option to build your AUP\IUP as a training course.
  • Phishing simulation sending configurations can be complex and cumbersome.
  • Reports and report options could be better. More canned reports and better data sorting & filtering.
  • Some training modules can be difficult to complete on iPads, Android, or other tablets with no mouse.
InfoSec IQ training is considered part of the base entry-level security stack we offer and recommend to our customers. InfoSec IQ is great for SMBs that do not have a designated IT staff. We can set up, deploy, and manage employee security awareness training for those customers. And for our larger or CoMIT customers who do have their own IT personnel, the MSP multi-tenant platform allows for customer admins to access the portal and manage their own training as much or as little as they choose.

Infosec IQ is used to provide content and administer security awareness training and simulated phishing campaigns. The product provides required training for staff as well as the need for phishing testing and training. The training is offered to all executive branch staff.
  • Content is excellent and topical.
  • Content is constantly updated and provided in a number of languages
  • Content is engaging and module selection is flexible enough to be brief or involved.
  • Learner account management could use a merge function for duplicate accounts.

We currently use INFOSEC IQ for staff training requirements and will be adding student support at some point soon. We have found our click rate has steadily gone down since using INFOSEC IQ.
We are also finding a higher percentage of staff reporting emails to us since starting this program (both real and simulated phishing emails).
  • There is a wide array of video styles to fit all kinds of training needs.
  • INFOSEC IQ are very good at working with us to get the most of their product within our needs.
  • Customizing or creating our own phishing templates is easy to do.
  • Support is top notch!
  • We can use the content off line with our SCORM for yearly training requirements
  • We have internal issues with certain wording (Training, Courses, and such). There are some landing pages where we cannot customize and change those words. We have found work arounds.
We use some of the videos from INFOSEC IQ for our staff's yearly training requirements. We also use videos on a monthly basis with our security SharePoint page for monthly news and updates. Currently, we utilize one of INFOSEC IQ's yearly plans to send out a monthly bulletin email and then do monthly phishing campaigns based on the topic of the month.

Infosec IQ is primarily used as a training tool for IT security within the organization.
  • Trains users on how to identify threats
  • Teaches an employee on what to do when faced with malware
  • Simplified information on cybersecurity so users can better understand the threat
  • So many topics to choose from the content library
  • Training lessons are customizable to fit users
  • The individualized grading system that we can send out to users at the end of the year through their emails so that they can monitor their progress and to encourage them more to improve on their skills
  • Individualized analysis of a user's performance on a monthly or annual basis so that they can see their weak points
  • Graduated learning modules to keep them interested and motivated (ex. they start as basic learners at the beginning then level up to more advanced skills, then finish as an expert at the end of the year)
Infosec IQ is best suited when used for the IT orientation of new hires as it defines how to keep the network safe while working in an office environment. It explains the company's IT policy in a simplified way. However, we do monthly training so some users who have worked in our company for a longer time comment that they are learning the same topics repetitively.

We looked at, and tested, several different solutions for security awareness training and settled on Infosec IQ. We were primarily interested in sending out phish campaigns, and while that is still our main use of the product, we find the PhishNotify Outlook add-on to be of great value as well. This gives our users a one-click option to notify [the administration] of a suspicious email and remove the message from their inbox. Infosec IQ has been well received.
  • Ease of use. Implementing PhishNotify with Office 365 was a breeze as is creating and sending phishing campaigns.
  • Phish templates. There are many templates to choose from, all of which are well designed. Almost too well designed in some cases.
  • Reporting is surprisingly well done and comprehensive.
  • No major faults come to mind.
I cannot speak for all aspects of the Infosec IQ [software] but their PhishSim is solid. Prior to using Infosec IQ, we had not done any specific simulations [with our users]. The extent of our training consisted of email reminders about how to spot different types of malicious content. This was certainly not a foolproof plan. Infosec IQ filled a large gap in our ability to educate employees on what to look out for. [We use it] as an educational resource [for] security training. It is not a replacement for a good email filter with proper policies assigned.

We use Infosec for our Phishing and training for email. This product has done wonders for us and has brought email phishing and email awareness to our employees. I saw more users actually stopping and asking to look at certain emails and ask me if this looked weird to me like it did to them. That makes this product worth it.
  • Scheduling of campaigns for phishing emails.
  • Easy to upload new learners with AD sync.
  • The ability to schedule training that is short and concise is great.
  • Some of the email templates are a little lame.
  • The training needs more comedy.
Any business that is looking for a cost-effective way to train employees on how to be on the lookout for phishing emails and or need to test employees for compliance reasons this is a great product and you don't have to be an IT professional to use it.
